Luke's church, Dublin, when the church was closed for

Jonathan Swift Death Mask |
Included among the items are Swift's epitaph and
bust, his death mask (left), a selection of his published
writings, the parchment awarding him the Freedom of
the City of Dublin, the Queen Anne patent which was
Swift's warrant to become dean of St Patrick's and the
pulpit (right) from which he was reputed to have preached.

Main Entrance, The Baptistery is to the left |
The Baptistery is believed to be the oldest part
of the cathedral, possibly the entrance to the church
built by John Comyn, the first Anglo-Norman Archbishop
of Dublin.

St Patrick's Cathedral |
Saint Patrick on his journey through Ireland is
said to have passed through Dublin. In a well close
to where the cathedral now stands, he is reputed to
have baptised converts from paganism to Christianity.
To commemorate his visit, a small wooden church was
built on this site, one of the four Celtic parish churches
in Dublin.
